Personnel Update - Dec 2024
Intern Recruiting Results
This past year's intern program proved to again be fruitful for full-time hiring goals.
We raised the bar across the firm in terms of what it takes to receive an offer, and our offer acceptance numbers remained very high. For quantitative trader interns our offer stats and offer acceptances were as followed.
Thank you to all the mentor for their dedicated effort to develop training plans that both equipped and gave a context for evaluating the intern’s potential as future team members.
TransMarket Operations - Offer rate 33% (2/6) Offer acceptance 100% (2/2)
Oryctérope Transalpin - Offer rate 0% (0/1)
Intern Surveys
This year we sent a survey to our interns and gave them the chance to respond anonymously to 24 different items ranging from their time on the desk, to TMG 101, to our firm culture.
The results reflect the investment of our mentors as well as everyone who helped show the interns what TMG is all about. The results are something we can be proud of. The entire team is creating an experience that interns are engaging with and are accepting our offers.
The important other half of that coin is making sure we are recruiting the talent we believe will be successful and that is where much of our efforts are focused this recruiting season.

Team Members Highlight
As before we from time to time we like to highlight the contribution of team members and how they are helping to grow our firm. As always we are first who then what firm and we have some great team members who are attacking some new market opportunities.
This summer the options team launched both SOFR options and treasury options trading desk. This type of innovation and new desk creation was a classic TMG progression where expertise from different areas came together to a launch a new trade
Spencer Burns had this to say about the new venture:
"It has been really encouraging to collaborate with the Rates Futures desks, leaning on their expertise to expand into the Rate Options markets. Phil Liou has been a huge help making sense of the SOFR White options volatility surfaces and their implied distributions given his expertise in the spot rates. Adam Machones and Felipe Parra on the treasury side have helped us refine our understanding of the event pricing in the shorter-dated options term. We plan on working closely with them in the future to refine our delta hedging strategies in both the SOFR and Treasury options books."
