Transit Spending Account (TSA)

TMG allows for you to contribute to a transit spending account (TSA) with pre-tax earnings.

Elections/Contributions:

Your TSA will be administered by Benefit Resources, Inc.

Employees are able to enroll and/or change contributions at any time through adp.com.

Provider Registration:

Once enrolled you will need to register with BRI in order to monitor your membership, funds, etc.

  • The "Company Code" is "tmg"

    1. The "Member ID" is the TMG employee's social security number

    2. The initial password should be the home zip code you entered into adp.com

Benefit Resources has a mobile app available in the App Store (Apple) or through Google Play (Android).

FAQs:

  • You can deduct up to $325/mo for parking expenses and up to $325/mo for mass transit expenses.

  • As long as changes are made 3 days before the next pay date you should see the changes in your paycheck deductions.

    Following termination, funds are available through the end of the second month after termination.

  • If you take the bus, metra, or L to work that qualifies as mass transit expense. Uber Pool and Lyft Line are now qualified expenses as well! Regular Ubers, taxis, and divvy do not qualify. Parking costs that are incurred as a result of to/from work travel are qualified. All others are not.

  • Qualified workplace commuting expenses must be for mass transit and/or parking expenses incurred between a residence and place of employment. Qualified mass transit expenses include: buses, trains, subways, ferries and van pools. Qualified parking expenses include parking expenses incurred near your workplace or a location from which you commute to work (e.g. park-and-ride).
