Time Away From Work

TMG has a flexible Time Away From Work (TAFW) policy.

Submitting TAFW:

Whenever possible, please submit time away requests in the following manner:

1) With Advance Notice

  • Notify/request time away to/from your manager with an appropriate amount of advance notice.

    • For most requests, 2 weeks will serve as enough advance notice.

    • If your time away will be extensive, (i.e. exceed 2 weeks out of office), please give your manager at least 4 weeks advance notice.

  • Post your time off on your Google calendar so your team and others can see it.

    • If you put “OOO” as the subject of your event, Google will recognize your time off and auto-decline events that may be happening on that day.

2) Without Advance Notice

  • Depending on the need for TAFW, you may not be able to give advance notice. In situations like these we ask that you:

    • Inform your manager of your need for your time away ASAP so that substitute coverage can be pursued in a timely manner
